‘Pregnant’ man in trouble

A South African man is in trouble after he faked a sick note which said he needed time off work because he was pregnant.

Magistrates in Vereeniging, near Johannesburg, fined Charles Sibindana, 27, £70 for the forgery, reports the Sapa agency.

Sibindana stole a medical certificate from a health centre used by his pregnant girlfriend, but was apparently unaware only women consulted gynaecologists.

Magistrate Bruno Van Eeden jokingly warned Sibindana “not to walk around faking sick letters from gynaecologists”.

Sweeds have more trust in Ikea then in the church

Here’s what I came across today:

‘Swedes trust Ikea more than the church

Swedes have more faith in their local Ikea store than in the church.

According to a survey by Dagens Industri, eighty per cent of Swedes said they trusted the furniture chain.

And though four-fifths of all Swedes claim to be members of the protestant Swedish Church only 46 per cent of those polled said they trusted the religious group.

People also trust Volvo (69 percent), Ericsson (59), Saab (57) and even pharmaceutical giant Astra Zeneca (47) more than the Church.’

I’m not quite sure how these figures came about or how you compare a church or a religion to a chain store. But hey believe in whatever you want….

Nature always finds a way…(not!)

The scientists that went to research wheter the cat had actually gave birth to puppies have concluded that the puppies cannot and do not come from the cat in question…

The whole thing turned out to be a hoax. Of course on some level you expect it to be but it would have been pretty amazing had the story been true…

My first reaction to this article was “eeehmmm… WHAT?” but hey I guess nature always finds a way..

Truth or Jail?

Just because the game is called “truth or dare” doesn’t necessarily mean you reaaly need to tell the truth! Oh well… he “dared” to actually tell the truth, I hope he feels better now…

“JACKSON, Mich. – The party game asked people to name the stupidest thing they had ever done. Police say Jerry Rose answered, “Shot a guy in the head.”

Now, Rose is charged with open murder and armed robbery in the March 22 slaying of 60-year-old Edgar Hawke.

Hawke’s wife and 14-year-old granddaughter found his body at the bottom of the basement stairs in his Parma Township home. A large amount of cash and a .22-caliber rifle were missing, The Jackson Citizen Patriot reported Saturday.

Police were making little headway in their investigation until officers in neighboring Calhoun County questioned Rose’s girlfriend about a series of break-ins. She told them about Rose’s confession during a summer party, and they gave the information to Jackson County sheriff’s detectives.

Rose, 29, was arrested Wednesday at his mother’s home. He was arraigned Friday and was being held without bond pending a preliminary hearing Nov. 15.”
