Eventhough I definately believe some of the consipracy theories that circle the web suggesting faul play in the re-election of Bush it’s these kind of articles that make you doubt them, simply because these people just don’t always seem very bright:

Hypoallergenic cats?

Today I came across this article:

“Hypoallergenic cats go on sale
Cats specially-bred not to trigger an allergic reaction in their owners have gone on sale in the US.
US biotech firm Allerca says there is already a waiting list despite an asking price of more than £2,000.
It claims the animals are the world’s first specially-bred hypoallergenic cats, reports the BBC.
The cats will not cause the red eyes, sneezing and even asthma that some cat allergy sufferers experience, except in the most acute cases”

Now is it just me or is the world going insane? Can people just accept that there are just some things you can’t have? If you’re allergic to cats: DON’T GET ONE or TAKE ANTIHISTAMINE! Don’t gentically alter the poor thing because your allergic! There’s a waitlist and though they cost $2000? People, seriously, give money to charity, get drunk, get high, have a party… spend your money on something, ANYTHING that makes more sense than this. And if the people from the biotechfirm Allerca are so incredible.. why don’t you cure aids instead of more things the world really doesn’t need!

The day the world changed

Five years ago we all witnessed the attacks on the world trade center ad saw how over 3000 people lost ther lives.
Since that time wars have starded America has become a nation bound and governed by fear and the rest of the world followed.
Now people are talking about the conspiracy theories and the question whether we were all lied to rises time and again. This question really makes me doubt people’s intelligence simply because the fact that we are lied to, that what governments decide is mostly in the interest of the government itself and seldom in the interest of the civilians is a fact of life that has been aroud since ancient Rome instated a Senate. Manipulating people by creating the idea of a democracy doesn’t mean that a democracy is actually there! When was the last time that any government has actually done something good for their country?
How do you explain one person getting significantly more votes than the other and still end up losing an election?
I would encourage everyone to look up some of the following documentaries:
911 Coverup, Fahrenheid 9/11, Connecting the dots.
There are more documentaries of course but for now these will suffice in informing you of what is closer to the truth than what the us government tells us. Unfortunately well probably never get to the actual truth and in the mean time we will continue to be lied to and like numb sheep believe what we are told.
Hopefully we will still be able to count on the people who make these documentaries so we can understand what really happens in the world.
We don’t need to ask whether we are being lied to because we know we are, even more so when Bush took office.. that is the day the world actually changed, 911 however sad it is is merely a symptom of the disease that started that day.
Let’s hope we’ll find a cure…

comedy

All you have to do nowadays to get yourself into a heavy depression is to turn on the news and see how people are treating eachother like crap, how politicians lie to everyone including other politicians, how nature is being ruined etc etc etc.
You can avoid this by not watching the news or to simply get yourself a healty daily doses of comedy.
Apart from a few tv shows I watch, I love watching stand-up comedy. We have a few dvd’s at home which we watch over and over again. Here’s a few of my favourite comedians:
Richard Pryor – amazing!
Eddy Murphy – too bad that after Raw, Delirious and Saturday night live everything kind of turned for him, lets face it unless you’re nine and retarded Dr. Doolittle and Dr. Doolitte 2 suck!
Chris Rock – great, he’s not on the same level as the other two but he’s great
Jurgen Rayman – incredibly funny guy – only doing dutch jokes though
There’s one guy however who after seeing one of his shows online got me completely addicted to his show and sense of humour ( or should I say “truth”) his name is: Carlos Mencia, he currently has a show on Comedy Central named “Mind of Mencia” I’m only half way through the first series but I’ll get there. (short) introduction

So now I need to post stuff.. here’s a short intro of who I am who my friends are and what they do..
I’m female, 28, living in Amsterdam and I work in an HR department of a large retail company.
My boyfriend is the founder and director of twodotone, an information technology genius check out his work at www.twodotone.com and or randomtype.com
Most of my friends are artists that make amazing art; among them are twothings (boghe and galma) maoma (Giulia) lilshy (Clelia) and lordh (checco) check out their art online. When I can I’ll post dates and times where their work is exhibited. Right now twothings is part of the Dutch Masters exhibition in the GEM in the Hague.

This is my first post ever on my own blog.
Seeing as my boyfriend is a computer genius it’s strange that it actually took me this long to start one.
On this blog you’ll find postings about art, music, computers, comedy, current events, things I think about.
I do need to warn you that i might offend some people here and there, I will e writing posts about issues that I think about and state my opinion regardless if my opinion is in line with “popuar belief” or not.
